When the English, led by Captain John Smith, settled Jamestown in 1607, they found themselves trying to build a community in a hostile environment. Among the first allies they found were the the Powhatan Indians, and Pocahontas, the daughter of their leader, became a trusted advisor. This 19' tall statue, digitally sculpted by Alex Pereira, complete with a magnetic removeable top, captures the fierce energy of the settler's native ally.
